LED Video Wall Installation in Kelowna & the Okanagan
Valley Pro AV & Integrations designs, supplies, installs, and supports permanent LED video walls for Okanagan wineries, restaurants, venues, and businesses — together with the sound, control, and cabling that make the whole room work as one system. Based in the Kelowna area, we install across the valley, from Vernon and Lake Country to Penticton, Naramata, Oliver, and Osoyoos.
If you are pricing a wall, planning a tasting room, or replacing a projector that washes out every sunny afternoon, start with a walk-through: we measure the room, talk through content and viewing distances, and quote the whole job — wall, audio, control, and install — as one fixed number.
What an LED video wall actually gets you
A direct-view LED wall is not a bigger TV. It is a seamless display surface built to the exact size of your room, bright enough for glass-walled spaces, and made to run all day, every day. Here is what that means in practice.
Daylight-bright in glass tasting rooms & lobbies
Projectors fade and televisions glare when the sun comes through floor-to-ceiling glass — the exact architecture the Okanagan is famous for. LED panels are daylight-bright and glare-managed, so menus, wine-club stories, and the game stay readable at noon in July, then dim smoothly to candlelight levels for evening tastings and dinners.
Any size, no seams
LED cabinets tile together into flat walls, wide banners, and corner-wrapped features at sizes no single television can reach — with no bezels chopping your content into a grid. The wall is sized to your room and your sightlines, not to whatever diagonal a warehouse store stocks.
Built to run all day, and serviceable from the front
Commercial LED panels are rated for long daily hours in public spaces. Modern cabinets are front-serviceable: a module can be swapped from the face of the wall without tearing anything apart, which keeps a busy tasting room or restaurant running while we work.
Choosing the right wall — size, pixel pitch & brightness
Three decisions drive how an LED wall looks and what it costs: how big it is, how fine its pixel pitch is, and how it is mounted and wired. Getting them right the first time is the whole job.
Pixel pitch and viewing distance, in plain language
Pixel pitch is the distance between the wall's light points, measured in millimetres. The closer your guests stand, the finer the pitch needs to be: roughly 1.2–1.9 mm for close-viewing feature walls, 1.5–2.5 mm for tasting rooms and event spaces, and coarser pitches for large rooms where viewers sit further back. Finer pitch costs more per square foot — so we spec the pitch to your closest real viewer, not to a brochure.
Sizing for your room
Wall size follows the room: ceiling height, the farthest seat, and what the wall has to compete with (windows, bars, stages). Our homepage has a wall-size calculator you can play with — then we confirm the real number on site, because rooms always have something a calculator can't see.
What drives the cost
There is no honest per-square-foot sticker price, because the panel is only part of the job. The real cost drivers are: panel size and pixel pitch; structural mounting and any backing or framing; power and data runs (including AV-over-IP distribution from Kramer or Atlona); the control system that runs it (Q-SYS or Crestron); and the audio that goes with it. We quote all of it as one fixed, itemized number after a walk-through — no allowances, no surprises mid-install.
LED walls & AV for wineries and tasting rooms
This is the Okanagan's signature job — and the one nobody else in the valley builds a page about. Wineries are not boardrooms with better drinks: they are glass, concrete, barrel vaults, patios, and crowds that change from a quiet Tuesday tasting to a 200-person wedding. The AV has to flex with all of it.
Tasting rooms
The wall carries your wine menus, club stories, vineyard footage, and tour content over the pour — readable in full sun, elegant at dusk. Pair it with zoned background music that sits under conversation instead of fighting it, tuned to the room's glass and concrete rather than echoing off them.
Barrel halls & event spaces
Weddings, release parties, and club nights need a screen for slideshows and speeches, microphones that behave, and sound that fills a long timber hall evenly. We install wall and pendant speakers, distributed properly, so the back of the hall hears the toast as clearly as the head table.
Patios & outdoor areas
Weather-ready speakers and outdoor displays extend the experience to the patio and the crush pad — same system, same simple controls, music that stays inside your property lines.
Zoned background music
Different music — or the same music at different volumes — in the tasting room, the patio, and the cellar, all from one system. Staff adjust zones from a single touch panel or a phone, instead of three stereos and a prayer.
Commercial AV installation — restaurants, boardrooms & venues
The same integrated approach applies anywhere people gather. We design commercial audio and video systems for hospitality and business spaces across the Okanagan.
Restaurants & sports bars
Digital menu boards that update in seconds, televisions and walls placed for real sightlines, and background music that behaves at lunch and lifts at night — with paging that cuts through when the kitchen needs it.
Boardrooms & meeting spaces
Displays, cameras, and microphones that make video calls just work, running on control systems (Crestron, Q-SYS) your team already knows how to tap once and forget.
Houses of worship, schools & lobbies
Lyrics and video that read from the back row, lobby signage that welcomes and informs, and systems simple enough for volunteers to run on Sunday morning.
The sound half of the system
A wall with bad audio is a billboard. The reason our installs feel finished is that the display is only half the design — the other half is distributed sound and one-touch control, built from the same plan.
We install zoned, distributed audio from the brands the pros trust — JBL, QSC, Electro-Voice, Yamaha, and Shure for microphones — with signal distribution by Kramer and Atlona, and control by Q-SYS or Crestron. In practice that means: every zone at the right volume, every source on every screen, and a single panel your staff can run without a manual. Volume for the tasting room, the patio, and the barrel hall — separately, from one place. The game on the wall, the playlist in the dining room, the speech through every speaker. One system, designed whole, instead of a screen bolted onto whatever sound happened to be there.
How an installation works
Four steps, the same ones on our homepage process — here is how they play out on an LED wall project.
1. Walk-through
We visit the space — free — and measure, photograph, and talk through content, sightlines, power, and how the room actually gets used day to day.
2. Design & fixed quote
You get a design with panel size and pitch specified for your room, plus one fixed, itemized quote covering equipment, structure, wiring, control, and labour.
3. Install & fine-tune
We mount, wire, and commission the system, then tune the audio to the room and calibrate the wall — brightness and colour matched module to module.
4. Training & support
We train your staff on the one-touch controls before we leave, and we stay your call when you want changes, additions, or service down the road.
Planning considerations before you buy
- ✓Power & structure — a large wall needs proper circuits and a mounting structure engineered for the load; both are part of our quote, not an afterthought.
- ✓Viewing distances — measure your closest and farthest viewers before choosing a pixel pitch; finer is not always smarter.
- ✓Content sources — decide what the wall shows (menus, signage, sports, presentations, live feeds) so the players and distribution are specced once, correctly.
- ✓Network & cabling — structured cabling and a clean equipment rack keep the system reliable and serviceable for years.
- ✓New build vs retrofit — in a new build, we wire during construction for the cleanest result; in an existing space, we retrofit with minimal disruption to your guests and customers.
Why Okanagan businesses choose Valley Pro
You can buy an LED wall from a national template company and get a screen. Valley Pro is the valley-based alternative: one local team for design, supply, installation, and support — for the wall, the sound, the control, and the cabling behind all of it.
We work across the three worlds that meet in the Okanagan — commercial, residential, and wineries — so a tasting room gets hospitality thinking, not office thinking. Our crews work to professional safety standards, we install the brands the pros trust (JBL, QSC, Crestron, Electro-Voice, Yorkville, Yamaha, Shure, NEC, Crown, Kramer, Atlona), and when something needs adjusting after opening day, we are a phone call and a short drive away — not a ticket in another province's queue.

LED video wall & commercial AV FAQs
How much does an LED video wall cost in Kelowna?
There is no honest one-size price, because the panel is only part of the job. Cost is driven by wall size, pixel pitch, mounting structure, power and data runs, the control system, and the audio that goes with it. After a free walk-through we quote the entire project — equipment, structure, wiring, control and labour — as one fixed, itemized number.
Is an LED video wall better than a large TV or a projector for a bright room?
For bright, public spaces, usually yes. Projectors wash out in daylight and televisions glare and top out at sizes far smaller than most feature walls. A direct-view LED wall is daylight-bright, seamless at any size, and built to run all day — which is why tasting rooms and lobbies choose it.
What pixel pitch do I need?
Pixel pitch is the spacing between the wall's light points. The closer your viewers stand, the finer the pitch: roughly 1.2 to 1.9 mm for close-viewing feature walls, 1.5 to 2.5 mm for tasting rooms and event spaces, and coarser pitches for large rooms with distant seating. We spec the pitch to your closest real viewer so you do not pay for resolution nobody can see.
What can we show on the wall?
Almost anything: digital menus, wine-club and brand stories, vineyard footage, live sports, presentations, slideshows for weddings and events, and digital signage. We spec the media players and distribution (including AV-over-IP) around the content you actually plan to run.
How long does installation take, and will it disrupt our guests or customers?
It depends on the wall's size, the mounting structure, and the state of the space. We plan the schedule with you around your hours — including staged work in operating businesses — and confirm the timeline in writing before we start, so there are no surprises during your season.
Can different rooms play different music at different volumes?
Yes. Zoned, distributed audio is a core part of what we install: the tasting room, patio, and barrel hall can each run different music at different volumes, all controlled from one touch panel or a phone.
Is the system easy for staff to run day-to-day?
That is the design goal. Scenes and sources sit behind one-touch controls (Q-SYS or Crestron), so staff can set the room for tastings, events, or closing time with a single tap. We train your team before we leave.
Can you retrofit our existing building, or does this need a new build?
Both. In a new build we wire during construction for the cleanest result. In an existing space we retrofit — mounting, wiring, and rack work planned to keep disruption to your guests and customers as low as possible.
Can you service or expand a system someone else installed?
Yes. We start with an assessment of what you have — display, audio, control, and cabling — then service, repair, or expand it, and fold it into one simple system your staff can run.
Which Okanagan communities do you install in?
Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland, Summerland, Penticton, Naramata, Okanagan Falls, Oliver, Osoyoos, and Vernon — and the wineries, restaurants, and venues in between.
